The house was a simple old Queenslander with some asbestos to be renovated and a tricky drainage challenge to be engineered. The Tierney brothers took the job in their stride hiring excellent and reliable tradesmen and sourcing some challenging specialists for stairs and tiling.. As clients we were very demanding of course yet we found both Ian and Noel not only always willing to listen to our ideas and concerns but always ready with ideas of their own when we could not think of solutions we were happy with. Because they are local it was very easy to get on to them and they seemed to be able to be on the spot when some important stage had been reached like the concrete pouring and the windows to be installed. The build was a challenge for us as my wife was not well, but the patient and courteous relationship with our builders was a great comfort in times of stress. The result was very satisfying and the house is now a joy to live compared with what it was when we bought it. With solar PV and storage and completely re-landscaped gardens, the house is as pretty as a picture!
